Abstract |
Colleen Doran is one of the most successful women in the comics industry today. As such, she has struggled with publishers for publishing rights of her works in this male-dominated industry. Starting very early drawing her own comics, Doran has contributed art to major comics as well, including Neil Gaiman’s Sandman comic. This fascinating biography imparts the lessons Doran has learned from self-publishing and tells her inspirational story, reminding young readers that we should never let anything stand in the way of our dreams.
